We Support World Refugee Day on June 20

Every day, somewhere across the globe people are fleeing their homes and leaving everything behind to escape local conflicts or threats to their safety.

Those people often become refugees, living in rudimentary makeshift camps as they struggle to feed and clothe their families.

June 20 is World Refugee Day, a special day in which the United Nations Refugee Agency urges governments to work together to help refugees.

The UN also works to unite the global public in recognizing the strength, courage and perseverance of millions of refugees across the globe.

World Refugee Day is especially important to us at NADI because helping refugees is also our mission.

We are a socially responsible venture, and we created a cooperative called TKIS NOBATI in the country of Georgia to create jobs and growth opportunities for people who were displaced by regional conflicts.

We hire refugees to harvest, collect, clean and prepare rosehips for our beverages, and these jobs provide steady income and stability for the community so future generations can prosper and thrive.

Lia, a refugee who picks rosehips for NADI, says the experience has given her something to work toward as she overcomes a previously bleak situation

“This project has given me hope,” Lia said. “Every morning, I feel like my life has new meaning.”

We are fierce supporters of responsible entrepreneurism, and we are humbled that our work helps refugees in Georgia rebuild their lives.

Thank you for supporting NADI, so we can continue to support refugees.
